Cool weather was observed on September 1-10, locally with precipitation of varying intensity. Weather conditions favored fieldwork. Farmers continue preparing the soil for sowing winter grains, UkrAgroConsult reports.
Although the conditions are not favorable enough for planting winter rape, growers are nevertheless planting it.
Dry weather dominated most of the country. Light precipitation occurred in the northern, western and eastern regions.
Due to a long rain-free period with elevated air temperatures, soil moisture is evaporating and depleting rapidly all across Kherson region.
Weather forecast for September 14-19:
Precipitation (2-15 mm) is expected in the western, northern and central regions. It will be dry in the rest of the country.
Air temperatures will be +17 … +19°C in the daytime, +10 … +12°C at night in the West; +17 … +19°C in the daytime, +6… +8°C at night in the North; +22 … +24°C in the daytime, +10 … +12°C at night in the East; +16 … +18°C in the daytime, +10… +12°C at night in Central Ukraine; +25 … +27°C in the daytime, +13 … +15°C at night in the South.
