Ukraine. ViOil starting to crush sunseed
The No. 1 oil extractor of the Vinnytsia fat-and-oil plant has begun processing new crop sunseed. Its capacity is planned at 1 KMT of oilseed a day. Reconfiguration of equipment is underway at the Chernivtsi fat-and-oil plant. The No. 2 oil extractor of the Vinnytsia fat-and-oil plant continues crushing rapeseed.
The first indicators do not match expectations: oil content does not exceed 46%, with oil and meal yields equaling 43% and 39%, respectively. These figures may increase as late-plated sunseed arrives in crushers.
All the plants will switch to sunseed processing once farmers begin large-scale harvest of this crop, reports UkrAgroConsult.
