Ukraine. Ukroliyaprom presented forecasts for the 2025/26 oilseed season
The Ukroliyaprom Association predicts that in the MY 2025/26, the total production of major oilseeds in Ukraine will reach 22.6 million tons. This was announced by the association’s general director Stepan Kapshuk. In particular, the key contribution to this volume will be made by sunflower seeds, the harvest of which is expected to be 13.1 million tons, as well as rapeseed (3.3 million tons) and soybeans (6.2 million tons).
According to the association’s estimates, the volume of oilseed processing in the 2025/26 season will amount to 17.7 million tons. Of these, 13 million tons will be sunflower, 3.1 million tons – soybeans and 1.6 million tons – rapeseed. Such indicators indicate the stable development of the processing industry, which remains an important element of the agricultural sector of Ukraine.
Oilseed exports at the end of the season are forecast at 4.9 million tons. The largest share in exports will be soybeans – 3 million tons, while rapeseed can be exported in the amount of 1.7 million tons, and sunflower seeds – about 200 thousand tons. This demonstrates the industry’s orientation towards foreign markets.
Regarding oil production, Ukroliyaprom expects a total volume of 7.1 million tons, of which 5.8 million tons will be sunflower oil. Rapeseed and soybean oil production will amount to 680 thousand tons and 620 thousand tons, respectively. These forecasts emphasize Ukraine’s leading role in the global production and supply of vegetable oils.
