Ukraine. The volume of grain shipments by road in G.R. Agro grew 1.5 times
Since the start of the 2021/22 season G.R. Agro transported 150 thousand tons of grain by road. Compared to last year, road transportation of grain increased by 1.5 times.
As the share of road transportations grew, the companies had to turn to third-party contractors.
“The volume of cargo transportation towards the ports has grown. In this regard, the logistics department of G.R. Agro is forced to close contracts not only with its own fleet of vehicles, but also resort to the services of third-party organizations for cargo transportation. It is extremely difficult to cover our needs with the involvement of additional transport,” the company explained.
In 2022, another 50 WiM (Weight in motion) weighing systems will appear on the roads of Ukraine in the strategic direction. In a year, there will be more than 150 such complexes in the country. In G.R. Agro noted that such changes will stimulate the company to develop more rapidly in its road transport business.
“In addition to the acquisition of vehicles, we are also developing the infrastructure of the vehicle fleet – the organization of mobile service and repair teams, the installation of filling stations, service stations,” added G.R. Agro.
