Ukraine. Sunflower prices are hovering around breakeven levels
Trading activity in the Ukrainian sunflower market remains subdued, with prices holding at low levels.
Over the week of October 23–30, EXW sunflower prices fell by UAH 750.00 to UAH 15,000.00/mt (USD 330.90/mt). Prices have halved over the past three months.

On the supply side, low sunflower prices are hovering around breakeven levels. According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, crop production profitability in Ukraine is expected to be close to zero by the end of 2026. Consequently, farmer selling offers remain limited. There is a risk that part of the sunflower crop will not be harvested, as some farmers may opt to leave it in the fields rather than incur additional harvesting costs. As a result, market estimates of the crop show an unusually wide range, with differences exceeding 3 mln tones.
Sunflower seed exports reached nearly 56 K tons in October. Turkey and Italy remain the leading destinations.
