Ukraine stepped up sunflower oil exports to China amid a decline in their total volume
Sunflower oil exports from Ukraine in September-June 2020/21 totaled 4.75 MMT (-17.6% y-o-y), UkrAgroConsult reports.
The country’s export potential in MY 2020/21 was cut to 5.38 MMT (-19% from MY 2019/20, within a limit set under the Memorandum between the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine and UkrOliyaProm Association that will result in high carryovers.
Shipments to major export markets changed as follows: China (+21%), India (-13%) and EU countries (-32%).
Growth in exports was registered to the following markets: Switzerland (+219%), Portugal (+221%), Saudi Arabia (+23%).
A slowdown in exports was fixed to Spain (-40%), Italy (-42%) and Iraq (-30%).
