Ukraine has shipped more than 280 thousand tons of agricultural products under the Grain From Ukraine initiative.
The Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Vitaliy Koval said this during the third Grain From Ukraine International Food Security Conference, according to his Telegram post.
“Ukrainian wheat, corn, and other crops that our farmers grow with great effort are shipped to Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. We are talking about about 400 million people for whom our help is a matter of life and death,” he said.
As part of the Presidential Humanitarian Initiative, more than 280 thousand tons of agricultural products (wheat and flour, corn, peas, oil) have already been sent to 12 countries in Africa and Asia.
“As a result of the two summits, more than $290 million in donor funds have been raised,” Koval reminded.
Further development of the grain sector in the Black Sea and Danube region will be discussed at the 23 International Conference BLACK SEA GRAIN.KYIV on April 24 in Kyiv.
