Ukraine shipped over 200 thousand tons of food under the Grain from Ukraine program
Ukraine has already shipped more than 200 thousand tons of food under the Grain from Ukraine program. In particular, 7 vessels have transported more than 195 thousand tons of grain and 7.6 thousand tons of flour to Somalia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Yemen, and Nigeria.
This is stated in the report of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
It is noted that 25 thousand tons of grain were shipped to Kenya.
Representatives of the East African Grain Council Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Kenyan agribusinesses during a meeting with Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy Vitaliy Holovna expressed interest in developing cooperation with Ukrainian agribusiness, agrarian associations and authorities and purchasing Ukrainian grain.
“The guests thanked for the assistance under the Grain from Ukraine program, when Ukraine significantly supported Kenya’s food security,” the ministry said.
