Ukraine resumes corn exports to Algeria for the first time since 2023
In the MY 2025/26, NIBULON exported Ukrainian corn to the Algerian state company ONAB for the first time, the agroholding said in a Facebook post.
As part of the cooperation, 4 ships with a total volume of 122 thousand tons of grain were shipped. This is more than 80% of the total volume of Ukrainian corn purchased by Algeria in the current season.
As noted by the company, Ukraine thus resumed corn supplies to Algeria for the first time since 2023.
“Cooperation with ONAB became possible thanks to NIBULON’s direct participation in Algerian state tenders. For the company, this was an important step in expanding the presence of Ukrainian agricultural products in the markets of North Africa,” the message says.
As of May 26, corn exports from Ukraine amounted to 18.5 million tons, which is 9.1% less than in the 2024/25 season.
