Ukraine restricts imports of poultry meat from the US
Ukraine has restricted the import of eggs, poultry and poultry products from a number of US states due to the outbreak of bird flu.
Thus, starting November 6, the ban applies to the states of Alabama, Washington and California. Since October 31, there have been restrictions on products from Oregon and Iowa, and since October 24 – Minnesota, Montana, Utah and South Dakota.
Exceptions are products that have been processed by a method that guarantees the destruction of the pathogen of the disease in accordance with the Requirements for the importation into the customs territory of Ukraine of food products of animal origin, feed, hay, straw, as well as by-products of animal origin and products of their processing, processing, approved by the order of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine dated 16.11.2018 No. 553.
