Ukraine renews 7-year record for egg exports
In May of this year, Ukraine exported 229.18 million eggs worth $23.9 million.
As reported by the Union of Poultry Farmers of Ukraine, citing customs statistics, this volume is the largest in the last 7 years.
It is noted that compared to April 2026, exports increased by 11.4%, and compared to May 2025, by 20.1%.
Revenue from egg exports in May of this year increased by 39.2% compared to the same month last year.
“In 5 months of 2026, 1014.4 million eggs were exported for a total of $112.5 million. Compared to the same period last year, physical export volumes increased by 22%, and monetary ones by 64%,” the industry association states.
The main buyers of Ukrainian eggs during the first 5 months of 2026 were Spain (28.1%), Great Britain (14.0%), Poland (9.4%) and Israel (7.3%). The share of EU countries in exports is 75%.
The association recalled that in March, Ukrainian egg producers exported 216.2 million pieces worth $24 million, which was the largest export volume in the last 5 years.
