Ukraine records attempts to export grain and economically exploit Crimea with the participation of US entities

The Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine has received new Russian documents assessing the losses of the Russian Federation from the war: a drop in oil production, problems in the banking sector and a growing budget deficit.

This was reported by President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“Our Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine has received new Russian documents assessing the losses of the aggressor country from the war. And it is important that this is precisely the Russian internal assessment that they are trying to hide from both the world and the domestic Russian audience,” writes President Zelensky.

The first significant indicator is the reduction in active oil wells. Only one Russian oil company – and not the largest – has already been forced to close about 400 wells.

“Given the specifics of Russian oil production, these are tangible losses, since restarting wells in Russia is much more difficult than in other oil-producing countries,” says the head of state.

The second indicator is a reduction in oil refining by at least 10% in just a few months this year.

“We see that our Ukrainian long-range sanctions are really working, and we will increase this direction of our active actions.”

According to the President, the data on the banking crisis in Russia look quite convincing, namely, 11 financial institutions are preparing for complete liquidation due to problems that cannot be solved in any other way, and another eight banking institutions have accumulated critical problems that cannot be overcome without attracting external resources.

Another important indicator is the state of public finances. According to available data, the deficit of the federal budget of the Russian Federation has already reached almost $ 80 billion, and there are also serious difficulties with regional budgets.

“I also instructed the head of the SZRU, Oleg Luhovsky, to disseminate, in a format that will not harm our sources, the information obtained about Russia’s attempts to involve global companies in correcting the crisis financial situation and schemes to circumvent sanctions. In particular, we have unfortunately recorded attempts to organize the export of grain from the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, as well as other economic exploitation of the peninsula with the participation of entities from the United States,” the President emphasized.

Ukraine will continue to inform international partners about these facts and work to increase sanctions pressure in order to make it impossible to circumvent restrictions and Russia’s access to critical technologies and financing.
