Ukraine recorded another series of flights to Egypt in late April, during which Russia continues to export Ukrainian grain from the occupied territories through the ports of Mariupol and Sevastopol, using false documents.

This was stated by the Presidential Commissioner for Sanctions Policy Vladyslav Vlasyuk in a comment to Ukrinform.

“Russia continues to sell stolen Ukrainian grain from the TOT through blatant criminal fraud with documents. At the end of April, we recorded another series of flights to Egypt, where the occupiers use the same scheme,” he stressed.

The Commissioner said that the grain is loaded in the closed ports of occupied Mariupol or Sevastopol.

According to him, the initial documents include Russian ports, for example, Temryuk, but after setting sail, the declarations “magically” change – and the final destination becomes the ports of Egypt – El Deheila or Alexandria.

“For example, the Russian ships Alfa-1 and Irkutsk (formerly Alfa M) loaded directly in occupied Mariupol and changed the route legend on the go to hide the origin of the grain. At the same time, Irkutsk is already under Ukrainian sanctions and under official arrest within the framework of criminal proceedings in Ukraine. Just like another ship – Mikhail Nenashev, which transported Ukrainian grain from Sevastopol to Alexandria during the same period,” Vlasyuk noted.

At the same time, the Presidential Commissioner emphasized that changing the documents does not change the reality: “This is stolen grain, exported from the territories of Ukraine occupied by Russia.”

He informed that the Ukrainian side establishes real routes contrary to false declarations.

“The Egyptian side should realize that by purchasing such wheat, it becomes part of the logistical chain of the Russian war crime,” Vlasyuk said.

According to him, all information about these flights, ships, captains and their owners has already been transferred to international partners for further action and strengthening of sanctions pressure on the shadow grain fleet of Russia.

Let us remind you that the Office of the President advocates the introduction of secondary sanctions against buyers of stolen grain from Ukraine.
