Ukraine produced over 1 mln tons of sugar
Sugar factories-members of the National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine accepted 9 million tons of sugar beet for processing, from which they produced 1.165 million tons of sugar, which is almost equal to the same date last year.
This was reported by the press service of Ukrtsukor.
In the season 2024/2025 MY, sugar beet processing is carried out by 29 sugar factories, 28 of which are members of the Association.
As of this date, sugar beet harvesting in Ukraine has almost been completed, having been harvested from an area of 251.2 thousand hectares. 11.9 million tons of sweet roots were harvested with an average yield of 47.6 t/ha.
