Ukraine produced over 1.5 mln tons of sugar
26 sugar refineries that are part of the UkrSugar association, as of January 1, 2026, processed 10.43 million tons of sugar beets and produced 1,574 thousand tons of sugar.
“Sugar yield was 15.19% (+1.13% compared to the previous season) with a sugar content of 17.63% (+0.88% compared to last year’s figure),” the report says.
The association noted that 6 sugar refineries will continue processing sugar beets in January.
“It is expected that the season for processing sweet roots will end by January 20, 2026,” the association predicts.
