Ukraine. Potoky to make its oil extractor run at full capacity from November
Large-scale production of sunflower concentrate at Potoky’s oil extraction plant (Dnipropetrovsk region) will be launched in November or early December, reports UkrAgroConsult.
The plant has adopted a new technology of low-temperature extraction that provides for the highest possible yield of sunflower oil with the preservation of the largest possible amount of useful substances. This allows producing a unique sunflower protein concentrate having no match around the world in terms of chemical composition.
Its design capacity is 1.4 KMT of sunflower seed, with the finished products including 450 MT of protein sunflower concentrate and 600 MT of sunflower oil.
Crushing capacity equaled 900 MT of sunseed a day last year, but it was raised to 1.3 KMT in October 2019. Further expansion of the crushing facilities is envisaged in the future (the development project is designed until 2022).
