Ukraine. Potoky created a unique sunflower protein concentrate

Specialists of the Potoky plant (city of Dnipro) together with international and Ukrainian scientists have developed an innovative product for fattening animals. It is a sunflower protein concentrate “Proglot,” which contains a record 48% of protein and is able to completely change the world feed market and push soybean products off the market, UkrAgroConsult reports.

The concentrate is a substitute for soybean meal, with roughly 80% of it being produced from GM-soybeans. The high-protein concentrate is made from sunflower seed and is a safe, effective product for animals.

The product is suitable for any diet for any poultry or animal species (hogs, young cattle, sheep).

Unique nanotechnologies of treating sunflower seed were used during its development: low-temperature extraction with maximal husk removal, when the denaturation process is not accompanied by any damage to the primary structure of protein or destruction of amino acids.

Research has showed that the coefficient of digestion equals 90.6% for protein, 85.9% for fat, 9.7% for gluten, and 60% for nitrogen-free extractable substances.
