Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko is expected to leave her post, triggering a major government reshuffle. According to Member of Parliament Yaroslav Zhelezniak, she is expected to become Ukraine’s ambassador to the United States, replacing Olha Stefanishyna. He also said the new government could be headed by Naftogaz CEO Serhii Koretskyi.
One of the key changes would be the restoration of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy as a separate government ministry. It is expected to be separated from the Ministry of Economy and Ecology, which will continue to be headed by Oleksii Sobolev. According to Zhelezniak, Taras Vysotskyi is expected to become the new Minister of Agrarian Policy.
The reported reshuffle also includes broader changes across the Cabinet. Denys Shmyhal is expected to become First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, while the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development could be split into separate Ministries of Regional Development and Infrastructure. Additional personnel changes are also expected across several other ministries.
