Ukraine plans to extend duty-free agricultural exports to the EU for several years
Ukraine is conducting a dialogue with the EU to extend the preferential export regime for Ukrainian agricultural products for several more years.
This was stated by the first deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Oleksandr Kornienko, according to the message of the All-Ukrainian Community Association.
According to the parliamentarian, the Ukrainian authorities are conducting active negotiations with the European Union in order to deepen European integration and strengthen cooperation.
“We are also working on deepening our integration into the EU. We are working on extending customs privileges for a few years to export agricultural products to the EU,” said Oleksandr Kornienko.
Kornienko emphasized that the agricultural sector is suffering greatly from the war.
“There are 10-30% losses, tens of billions of losses, the problem of mined lands. There was a problem with exports, but now the situation has improved. We understand and solve these and other problems,” he listed the main problems for the agricultural sector.
