Ukraine has opened the first agrohub on the African continent — in the Republic of Ghana, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced.

As part of the President’s initiative, the Food from Ukraine Food Processing and Distribution Center has been launched.

The agrohub was created by Ukrainian agribusiness in cooperation with the government of Ghana as a result of agreements reached during the Food from Ukraine conference in November 2025.

This is a new format of Ukraine’s presence in the world, when humanitarian support is combined with the development of partnerships and the local economy.

Ukrainian products will be combined with local products, food kits will be formed and their distribution will be ensured.

The next stage is the development of processing, packaging and portioning directly in Ghana.

The first kits have already included locally produced rice and pasta made in Ghana from Ukrainian flour.

During the opening, 4,000 food kits were handed over to the most vulnerable segments of the population, Ghanaian widows.

Ukraine views Ghana as an important partner in West Africa for humanitarian support and trade development on the west coast of the African continent and is ready to share expertise, technologies and experience in increasing yields to jointly strengthen global food security.
