Ukraine. Ministry currently estimates barley yield at 2.5 t/ha
The harvesting campaign is actively underway in three southern regions of Ukraine. As of June 19, 34.8 thsd tons of grain and pulses crops have already been harvested from an area of 14.2 thousand hectares. This is evidenced by operational data from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
It is noted that the bulk of the threshed grain is barley – 33.9 thsd tons were harvested from an area of 13.6 thsd hectares with a yield of 2.49 t/ha. 0.9 thsd tons of peas were also harvested from an area of 0.6 thsd ha (yield – 1.52 t/ha).
Currently, according to the ministry, the harvest continues in three regions of Ukraine – Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson. Moreover, Odesa region is leading in terms of the volume of threshed areas.
