Ukraine. Logistics companies will win only in the short term, – Elizaveta Malyshko
Those who have invested in logistics against the background of massive losses of farmers will even benefit in the short term. This was stated by Elizaveta Malyshko, grain market expert at UkrAgroConsult, in an interview with The Ukrainian Farmer.
According to her, if 5-6 years before the full-scale invasion, the main profit was accumulated by agricultural producers, now it has moved to the logistics sector.
“However, I think the situation will turn around again next season. After all, we have reduced the area under wheat, and many people are thinking about the feasibility of sowing corn. Accordingly, the volume of grain transportation will also decrease. Therefore, the companies that have focused on logistics during the full-scale war will not receive the profits they expect,” said Elizaveta Malyshko.
According to Elizaveta Malyshko forecast, Ukraine will export only 32 mln tons of grain in 23/24 MY.
