Ukraine is tracking supplies of stolen grain not only to Israel
Ukraine is tracking the supply of stolen grain not only to Israel, but also to other countries and plans to step up its efforts to counter such schemes, as they are actually financing Russia’s war. This was stated by Foreign Ministry spokesman Georgy Tykhy.
According to him, there have been cases where ships carrying stolen Ukrainian grain were heading to Turkey, Egypt, Algeria and a number of other countries.
“Just now, one such ship is approaching Egypt, another is approaching Algeria. Our message is very simple – we see it, we will not turn a blind eye to it and will not leave it without an appropriate response. This is a general approach, it applies not only to Israel, but to everyone who participates in this illegal trade and actually helps the aggressor finance the war against Ukraine,” the Foreign Ministry spokesman said.
He emphasized that this position also applies to Ukraine’s partners.
“We consider Israel a partner and a friend, but we frankly say that this trade finances the war of our enemy against the Ukrainian people, and we will counteract this,” Tykhy noted.
Also, according to him, Russia has actually created not only a shadow oil fleet, but also a shadow grain fleet.
“We believe that the owners of the companies, the captains, everyone related to these vessels, who are involved in the trade in stolen grain, should also be sanctioned. Therefore, you will see more actions in this direction — international, and not only those related to Israel,” the Foreign Ministry spokesman added.
