Ukraine increases egg exports by 17% since start of year
Ukraine exported 1.4 billion eggs worth a total of $148.1 mln in January-July 2026. Compared with the same period last year, export volumes increased by 17.2%, while export revenues jumped by 43.6%.
In July, Ukrainian producers exported 216.9 million eggs worth $17.7 mln. Export volumes increased by 7% compared with June and by 13.8% compared with July 2025.
Meanwhile, export revenues in July remained almost unchanged from the previous month. In year-on-year terms, revenues increased by 3.9%, significantly lagging behind the growth in physical export volumes.
The European Union remains the main destination for Ukrainian eggs, accounting for 75.7% of exports in the first seven months of the year. Spain was the largest buyer with a 26.6% share, followed by the UK at 13.7%, Poland at 8.8% and Belgium at 7%.
Ukraine’s egg exports therefore continue to grow both in volume and value, with shipments remaining heavily focused on the European market. In the first seven months of 2026, the growth rate of export revenues was more than twice as high as the increase in physical export volumes.
