Ukraine has changed the plan for implementing the agricultural development strategy
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has improved the Operational Plan of Actions of the Strategy for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas in 2025-2027.
The relevant order was adopted at a government meeting on August 20, the press service of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture reports.
It is noted that the Operational Plan of Actions for 2025-2027 was adopted within the framework of the Strategy for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas in Ukraine for the period until 2030.
“The implementation of the plan is a necessary step towards the development of a strong and competitive agricultural sector. In particular, the Operational Plan forms a vision for the development of agriculture and rural areas in Ukraine in accordance with the format of the EU National Strategic Plans within the framework of the new Common Agricultural Policy. This will have a positive impact on the negotiations on Ukraine’s membership in the EU,” the department specified.
The implementation of the document will contribute to:
- ensuring sustainable development of agriculture and rural areas;
- creating suitable conditions for the creation of a sustainable and diversified agricultural sector (agriculture, food and processing industry);
- ensuring long-term food security;
- strengthening environmental protection, in particular biodiversity, mitigating the effects of climate change, and strengthening the socio-economic structure of rural areas.
