Ukraine has banned the import of livestock products from Azerbaijan
Ukraine has imposed a ban on the import of livestock products from Azerbaijan due to foot-and-mouth disease.
This was reported by the Eastern Interregional Directorate of the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, citing an order from the Chief State Veterinary Inspector dated September 19, 2025.
“The import of animals, genetic material, raw materials, and products derived from them from the Republic of Azerbaijan that are susceptible to the foot-and-mouth disease virus is prohibited,” the statement reads.
An exception is made for dairy products processed using a method that guarantees the destruction of the pathogen.
