Ukraine harvests 11.2 million tons of early grain crops
As of the end of July, early grains and pulses were harvested on an area of 2,672 thou hectares with a yield of 42.2 c/ha. The new harvest amounted to 11 mln 224 thsd tonnes of grain, including
- wheat was harvested on 1816 thou hectares (yield – 44.4 c/ha), 8063.1 thou tons;
- barley was harvested on 730.8 thousand hectares (yield – 39.4 c/ha), harvested 2881.3 thousand tons;
- 113.3 thou hectares of peas were harvested (yield – 24.7 c/ha), with a harvest of 280.1 thou tons.
Mykolaiv region is the leader in grain harvesting, with 414.8 thou hectares threshed, and the largest harvest in Odesa region – 1,808 thou tons.
Agrarians in Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv and Ternopil regions have finished harvesting peas.
The harvest of winter rape is also underway, with an area of 931.3 thou hectares harvested, 2497.5 thou tons of seeds harvested, yielding 26.8 c/ha.
