Ukraine harvested 17% of the forecasted amount of grains and oilseeds

Ukraine has already harvested 18 million tons of grain from the new harvest, which is about 16-17% of the projected grain and oilseeds harvest. This was stated by Dmytro Solomchuk, MP and member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy, during a briefing.
Dmytro Solomchuk noted that in the western regions of the country, the harvesting slowed down due to unfavorable weather conditions, while in the southern regions, farmers have almost harvested the entire grain crop and are starting to harvest sunflower. The most difficult situation is in the de-occupied territories, where farmers are harvesting under fire.
According to the MP, in 2023, the harvest in Ukraine is proceeding faster than last year, when farmers were still harvesting early grain in September due to rains.
