Ukraine’s agricultural exports are increasingly driven by logistics rather than production volumes. UkrAgroConsult highlights the rapid restructuring of export routes.

Danube logistics partially replaces deep-sea exports, but low water levels and expensive freight reduce efficiency. July exports reached about 2.9 M mt, while the grain crop is estimated at around 64 M mt.

The export structure shows a rapid shift from Greater Odesa ports toward Danube and rail logistics. Logistics indicators also confirm a sharp increase in Danube-bound grain flows.

High transport costs continue to reduce farmers’ margins and increase the risk of larger grain stocks inside the country.

According to UkrAgroConsult, future market performance will depend on logistics adaptation and the effectiveness of alternative export corridors.
