Ukraine. Flour exports the lowest volume since 2011/12

Just 6 KMT of flour was exported in May (-31% from April, -68% from May 2019/20). This season’s exports totaled 113 KMT that is down 64% y-o-y and the lowest volume since MY 2011/12, UkrAgroConsult reports.
The decline in exports results from a slowdown in milling – just 1166 KMT was produced in July-May, or 25% less than in the same period last year.
In May, the highest volume was shipped to the UAE, which remains the top buyer of Ukrainian flour.
Most importers reduced purchases in MY 2020/21 compared to the same time last year: the UAE (-66%), Moldova (-26%), Palestine (-41%), Somalia (-60%), Singapore (-85%), Mozambique (-86%).
Among the ten biggest buyers, only two countries stepped up imports of Ukrainian flour from last season: Israel (+11%), Venezuela (+6%).
