Ukraine exports sugar and oil to Ivory Coast

The Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Vitaliy Koval, stated that currently Ukraine exports sugar, sunflower oil, animal by-products, cereals and tobacco products to Côte d’Ivoire. At the same time, imports from Côte d’Ivoire to Ukraine include cocoa products and nuts.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.
According to him, despite the war, the Ukrainian agricultural sector is the foundation of the economy and it is trade with other countries that ensures stability within the country and food security on other continents.
Koval stated that the only correct approach to providing Africa with food is to strengthen the capacity to produce agricultural products within the continent.
