Ukraine exports $526 mln worth of poultry meat in the first half of the year

Ukraine exported 41.3 thsd tons of poultry meat in June 2026, down 5.3% from 43.6 thsd tons in May.

According to the Ukrainian Poultry Association, citing customs statistics, export revenue also declined by 4.7% month-on-month to $89.2 million.

“The average export price of poultry meat remained unchanged at $2.16/kg in June, reflecting the stabilization of export prices in foreign markets,” the association said.

In the first half of 2026, Ukraine exported a total of 248.4 thsd tons of poultry meat, up 9.7% from the same period last year. However, export revenue declined by 1.8% year-on-year to $526.4 million.

The largest importers of Ukrainian poultry meat during the first six months of 2026 were the Netherlands (19.5%), the United Kingdom (11.6%), Slovakia (10.3%), and the United Arab Emirates (6.5%).

EU countries accounted for 36.3% of Ukraine’s total poultry meat exports during the period, equivalent to 86.8 thsd tons. In value terms, exports to the EU generated nearly half of the country’s total export revenue, accounting for 46%.

Ukraine also exported 8.7 thsd tons of processed poultry products in the first six months of 2026, worth $29.6 million. Compared with the same period a year earlier, export volume increased by 3%, while export revenue rose by 16.5%.
