Ukraine exports 4.5M tonnes of agricultural products in August
Ukraine exported 4.5 million tonnes of grain and oil-bearing crops in August 2022.
According to an Ukrinform correspondent, Taras Vysotskyi, First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, said this at a press conference on September 1.
“In August, without taking into account the unblocked Black Sea ports, exports of grain and oil-bearing crops from Ukraine amounted to three million tonnes. Here we are talking about export by road freight transport, railway and from the Danube ports,” he said.
Vysotskyi added that Ukraine exported 1.5 million tonnes of agricultural products through unblocked ports in August.
According to him, before the full-scale Russian invasion, exports of agricultural products from Ukraine amounted to six million tonnes per month.
In July 2022, Ukraine exported three million tonnes of grain and oil-bearing crops via alternative routes.
