Ukraine exported almost 35 million tons of grain in nine months
According to the State Customs Service of Ukraine, in 2023/2024 marketing year (from July 1, 2023 to April 1, 2024), the export of grains and pulses from Ukraine reached 34.862 million tons, of which 5.192 million tons were shipped in March. This was reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Of this volume, wheat accounts for 13.842 million tons, barley – 1.962 million tons, rye – 10 thousand tons, and corn exported 18.765 million tons.
In March 2024 alone, 5.192 million tons of grain were exported, including 2.07 million tons of wheat, 339 thousand tons of barley, and 2.77 million tons of corn.
In addition, the company exported 75.1 thousand tons of wheat flour, 4.2 thousand tons of other flour and 79.3 thousand tons in total in terms of grain. In March, Ukraine exported 4.9 thousand tons of wheat flour and 0.4 thousand tons of other flour.
Overall, Ukraine exported 34.967 mln tonnes of grains and flour in the marketing year 2023/2024 as of April 1, 2024, of which 5.199 mln tonnes were exported in March.
For comparison, for the previous marketing year 2022/2023, as of April 3, 2023, the volume of grain and flour exports amounted to 38.202 million tons, including 71 thousand tons exported in April 2023.

It is worth noting that in February 2024, Ukraine managed to export 8 million tons of agricultural products, which is 3.4% more than in the previous month. However, due to the protests of Polish farmers, not all products managed to physically cross the border and a certain amount of transport is still waiting in lines to leave.
