Ukraine expects actual start of EU accession talks in June – Zelenskyy
In his address, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about the prospects of Ukraine’s accession to the EU.
“I have just spoken with President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen. We are actively preparing the next stage of rapprochement with the European Union for June – we expect the approval of the negotiation framework and the actual start of negotiations on Ukraine’s accession,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
The President of Ukraine noted that Ukraine and Ukrainians deserve it. In addition, the European Union also needs Ukraine to join it.
“This is the lifeblood of the European Union – to be a European project that leaves no one outside the European Union. No one who truly professes European values,” the head of state added.
