Ukraine can help Syria with wheat, flour, and oil – Zelenskyy
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed with government officials providing food aid to Syria through the Grain from Ukraine program.
He announced this during his evening address.
“Today, I discussed with our government officials – the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food – the issue of food assistance under the ‘Grain from Ukraine’ program, including aid for Syria. This is our humanitarian program, which has already contributed significantly to stabilizing the food situation in vulnerable regions around the world,” the president said.
According to him, Ukraine can currently provide Syria with wheat, flour, and oil – essential products for ensuring food security globally.
“We are coordinating with our partners and the Syrian side to address logistical issues. We will certainly support this region so that stability there can become a foundation for us in moving toward real peace,” Zelenskyy added.
Turkish Defense Minister Yaşar Güler stated that his country is ready to provide military support to the new administration in Syria if a request is made.
