Ukraine became the world’s largest exporter of frozen raspberries for the second year in a row
Ukraine, according to the results of 2025, has become the world’s largest exporter of frozen raspberries for the second time in a row. This was announced by the President of the Ukrainian Fruit and Vegetable Association Taras Bashtannyk during the conference.
“We have been the world’s largest exporter of raspberries for two years in a row. It is expected that according to the results of the 2025 season, the export volume will be about 80 thousand tons compared to 65 thousand tons a year earlier,” Bashtannyk said.
He added that the potential for growth remains.
In addition, a similar trend is observed in the blueberry segment, where production is growing by 15-20% every year.
According to Bashtannyk, the domestic blueberry market has reached a “ceiling” of consumption of about 10 thousand tons, so further development of the industry is possible only through exports.
Today, Ukraine exports about 8-10 thousand tons of blueberries, while world leaders, such as Chile and Peru, supply up to 400 thousand tons to foreign markets, which indicates significant room for substitution of players in the global market.
