Ukraine became the second importer of Turkish tomatoes
Ukraine ranked second in the export of Turkish tomatoes with a volume of $51 million.
This is reported by the Anadolu Agency with reference to the Association of Exporters’ Unions of Southeastern Anatolia (GAİB).
“Romania became the leading importer of Turkish tomatoes in January-June this year. Turkey exported $60 million 783 thousand worth of tomatoes to Romania during the period, followed by Ukraine – $51 million 315 thousand, Poland – $38 million 626 thousand, and Germany – $35 million 314 thousand.
Russia is on the fifth place of the list of importing countries of Turkish tomatoes, where in January-June it supplied products worth $ 29 million 563 thousand,” the report says.
It is added that in January – June 2022, Turkey exported 287 112 tons of tomatoes worth $247 million 577 thousand, while in the same period of this year 325 241 tons of products worth $326 million 99 thousand were sold.
