Ukraine. Astarta Finished Sugar Beets Lifting
ASTARTA-KYIV completed sugar beets lifting. The gross crop harvest is сirca 1.6m tons. To-date the average gross yield is more than 47t/ha, considering that the beet transportation process from the fields continues.
The sugar content of beets remained at a high level and averaged 17.03% at ASTARTA-KYIV (compared to the 16.68% Ukrainian average according to «Ukrtsukor» data as of 19.11.2021).
The transportation of the harvested beets from the fields continues. As of November 22, 1.22m tons of sugar beets grown in the Company’s fields have already been delivered to the Company’s sugar plants.
The delivery of harvested beets to the sugar plants according to the “field-plant” logistics scheme allows reducing the loss of sugar beets during their unloading and at the receiving points.
As of November 22, 2021, ASTARTA sugar factories have already produced 200kt of white sugar.
