Ukraine announces expansion of Grain from Ukraine program
The Grain from Ukraine initiative will be scaled up into Food from Ukraine. In this way, Ukraine will strengthen its assistance to countries in need of food and remain a guarantor of food security in the world.
Currently, our country has already delivered the first batch of aid to Syria – 500 tons of flour. Preparations are underway to deliver the next batches.
Also, as part of the initiative:
● almost 416 tons of sunflower oil have been shipped to Mozambique. The cargo will arrive in early February;
● 73.4 tons of oil and 970.5 tons of flour were shipped to Djibouti. The cargo will arrive at the end of January;
● 453 tons of sunflower oil will soon be shipped to Tanzania.
As a reminder, the Grain from Ukraine project is funded by international partners to purchase products from Ukrainian producers to help overcome world hunger.
