Ukraine and Honduras begin cooperation in agriculture

For the first time in the history of bilateral relations, President Volodymyr Zelensky had a telephone conversation with Honduran President Nasri Asfour. This was reported by the Office of the Head of State, noting that the contact took place at the level of the leaders of the two countries for the first time.

During the conversation, the parties discussed a wide range of potential cooperation between the states. The topic was the possibilities of exchanging experience and implementing joint projects in various industries, which could become the basis for the development of bilateral relations.

The leaders also agreed that their teams would soon work out specific areas of cooperation and prepare practical steps for their implementation. Separately, Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated his colleague on taking office and invited him to pay an official visit to Ukraine.

Agriculture was identified as one of the key areas of interaction. Ukraine is ready to share experience in developing the agricultural sector, in particular in terms of increasing production efficiency, introducing modern technologies, and developing export potential.

In addition to the agricultural sector, the parties discussed cooperation in the production and use of drones, energy decentralization, and digitalization. The Office of the President emphasized that Ukraine is open to deepening the partnership and is ready to provide practical support to Honduras in certain areas.
