Ukraine and Denmark will launch joint investment projects in the agricultural sector
Ukraine and Denmark are moving towards joint investments in the agricultural sector. This was discussed during the Danish-Ukrainian business conference in the agro-technological sector, the press service of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture reports.
The parties agreed on specific solutions – from insurance of military risks to launching investment projects in key segments of the agricultural sector. The focus of the discussion is: bioenergy and biomethane production, dairy industry and livestock, pig farming, logistics, storage and feed production.
“Ukraine and Denmark are already moving from recovery to joint investments, modernization of production and development of the high-tech agricultural sector. This opens up new opportunities for creating added value, introducing innovations and strengthening the sustainability of the industry,” said Taras Vysotsky, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, at the opening of the conference.
This is the basis for the deepening of cooperation between Ukraine and Denmark within the framework of the Strategic Sectoral Cooperation (SSC), which has already covered the issues of food safety, veterinary medicine, resource-efficient production, reduction of food losses and green transformation of the industry. A series of professional visits of Ukrainian delegations to Denmark is planned for 2026 – for the practical implementation of European standards in the field of food safety, veterinary medicine and control.
“The Ukrainian agricultural sector today is not only about recovery, but about the future: more technological, sustainable and integrated into the European market. The development of agrohubs, innovations and partnerships with countries such as Denmark is the key to this transformation,” Taras Vysotsky concluded.
The ministry noted that the parties agreed on directions, tools and formats of cooperation that should transform the Ukrainian agricultural sector into a more technological, energy-efficient and integrated into the European market.
