Ukraine and Azerbaijan prepare joint agricultural projects
Ukraine and Azerbaijan plan to expand cooperation in the agricultural sector and move toward implementing joint projects in trade, investment, agricultural production and innovation. The agreement was reached during an online meeting between Ukraine’s Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotskyi and Azerbaijan’s Agriculture Minister Majnun Mammadov.
To launch new areas of cooperation, the two sides are preparing a memorandum of understanding. They also plan to establish a joint working group and develop a roadmap outlining specific areas and further steps for cooperation.
The talks also focused on expanding contacts between Ukrainian and Azerbaijani businesses. The two sides are considering opportunities for new investment initiatives and joint agricultural projects.
Logistics was another important area of discussion. In the long term, stable use of Black Sea routes will be important for the development of bilateral trade and the transportation of agricultural and other goods.
Ukraine and Azerbaijan expect the new cooperation framework to boost trade, strengthen ties between companies in both countries and create a foundation for joint investment and production projects in the agricultural sector.
