Ukraine almost abandoned the export of meal
In Ukraine, they actually abandoned the export of meal due to ultra-high logistics costs.
Stepan Kapshuk, Director General of the Ukroliyaprom Association, spoke about this in his column for Аgrotimes.
According to him, Ukrainian meal is used not only as feed, but also for the production of isolates, because it does not contain GMOs. “The delivery of our meal to Turkey costs $227, while its price is $215. Who will deliver shot at a loss?!” Stepan Kapshuk noted.
In his opinion, it would be logical to raise the issue of reducing the freight of ships that call in Ukraine and look inside the country for representatives of the livestock and poultry industry who could use the available volumes of meal.
