Ukraine actively continues sowing winter crops

As of 10/03/2022, agricultural producers of all regions are sowing winter grain crops, 1.2 million hectares of which have been sown, or 26% ahead of the forecast, reports the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
- Wheat is planted on 1.1 million hectares, or 27%.
- 96,000 ha, or 14%, were sown with barley.
Rye is sown on 35,000 hectares, or 41%.
During the previous week, 516,000 hectares of winter crops were sown for grain.
Farmers of Ternopil Oblast sowed the most winter crops – 32,000 hectares, or 41% of the forecast.
Given the favorable weather conditions, agricultural producers of all regions of Ukraine completed the sowing of winter rapeseed, which was sown on 989 thousand hectares.
In the previous week, 28,000 hectares of winter rapeseed were sown.
