Ukraine 2023 grain harvest at 23 mln T so far -ministry

Ukraine, a global leading grain grower, has harvested 22.96 million metric tons of grain of the new 2023 harvest from 5.29 million hectares so far, agriculture ministry said on Friday.
The ministry gave no comparative data.
It said the grain yield averaged 4.37 tons per hectare and the volume had included 17.7 million tons of wheat, 4.9 million tons of barley, 361,200 tons of peas and some tonnage of other grains.
The ministry has said it expects the 2023 grain harvest to reach 56.4 million tons versus 55.3 million in 2022.
