Turkey reduced sunflower oil imports in 2025
In 2025, Turkey imported 1.269 million tonnes of sunflower oil worth $1.57 billion, down from 1.41 million tonnes in 2024. Despite the decline in volumes, the total import value increased, reflecting higher global prices for the product.
Russia remained the largest supplier with over 800 thousand tonnes, followed by Ukraine (308.8 thousand tonnes), as well as Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, and Serbia. Overall, the Black Sea region continues to play a key role in supplying sunflower oil to the Turkish market.
