Turkey reduced duties on sunseed imports
Turkey has abolished the 8% duty on imports of sunflower seeds within the established quota, according to a presidential decree published on Wednesday. Imports of sunseed outside the quota will be subject to a 12% duty (previously 27%). The duty on imports of sunflower oil within the quota remained at 20%. This is reported by Reuters.
In August, the country set an 8% duty on imports of sunseed within the quota equal to 1 million tons and a 20% duty on crude sunflower oil within the quota equal to 400 thsd tons. The quota is valid from January 1 to April 30, 2025.
