Turkey becomes global transshipment center for agricultural products – USDA

Over the past decade, thanks to investments in inland port infrastructure and storage facilities, as well as Turkey’s deeper integration into regional and global trade networks, the country has become a major transshipment center for agricultural products such as oilseeds, grains, pulses, nuts and juice. In 2022, the value of transshipment of agricultural products doubled from a few years earlier to reach an estimated record of $4.0 billion. Turkey’s transshipment trade has a bright future and is expected to continue to grow.
