Turkey announces tender for sale of durum wheat

On December 4, the Turkish Grain Committee (TMO) will hold a tender for the sale of 100 thousand tons of durum wheat for export on FOB basis. This is reported by Grain On-Line agency with reference to European traders. Loading will take place from January 6 to 27 in the ports of Mersin (two batches of 25 thousand tons) and Iskenderun (two batches of 25 thousand tons).
Earlier, some traders said that Turkey has large domestic grain stocks and needs to free up storage capacity by selling grain for export.
On November 28, the Turkish Grain Committee (TMO) held a tender to sell 150 thousand tons of feed barley for export. Its results have not been announced yet. The maximum price for barley was offered by Mir Agro – $225.50 FOB.
